Flow Engineering, a San Francisco-based startup developing AI agents for hardware design, has raised a $50 million Series B funding round at a $750 million valuation, the company announced Wednesday, according to reporting by TechCrunch AI (https://techcrunch.com/2026/09/30/valor-atreides-and-sequoia-back-ai-startup-flow-engineering-at-750m-valuation/).

The financing was co-led by Antonio Gracias of Valor Equity Partners and Gavin Baker of hedge fund Atreides Management. Both investors have prior records backing Elon Musk's companies, including SpaceX, while Atreides has also invested in AI chipmaker Cerebras.

Sequoia Capital, which led Flow's Series A round last October, also took part in the round alongside former Sequoia partner Roelof Botha. Botha invested as an individual and has joined Flow's board of directors.

Founded three years ago, Flow develops AI agents designed to automate the alignment of computer-aided design (CAD) drawings with product specifications, simulation outcomes, and test data.

Flow's stated customer roster includes defense contractor Anduril, electric vehicle maker Rivian, electric aircraft manufacturer Joby Aviation, and rocket builder Stoke Space. The startup also counts automotive joint ventures among its clients, including General Motors PPU—a partnership between General Motors and TWG Motorsports—and RV Tech, a joint venture between Rivian and Volkswagen.
