Meta announced the launch of its Muse Wonder frontier model family on Monday, introducing two new systems—Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full—designed to power personal and enterprise software agents. The release builds on the company's earlier Muse Spark model and follows a 14-month internal overhaul of Meta's artificial intelligence development efforts, according to an announcement on the Meta Newsroom (https://about.fb.com/news/2026/10/introducing-muse-wonder-models/).

Meta claims the new models achieve state-of-the-art performance on agentic workflows across domains including finance, healthcare, law, and software development. The company highlighted potential applications such as reviewing leases, processing insurance claims, and writing code for games and commercial software. Meta has not yet published third-party benchmark evaluations; the company stated that a detailed report containing safety evaluations and technical specifications will be released separately.

To support long-running tasks, Meta added two architectural features: Active Memory and Active Focus. Active Memory allows the models to retain context and user preferences across multiple sessions, recalling relevant information without requiring users to repeat background details. Active Focus enables the systems to self-correct during execution, evaluate alternative approaches when encountering errors, and ask human users for clarification or approval before taking high-stakes actions.

Because digital agents frequently require access to personal documents, calendars, and messaging feeds, Meta stated that the models were trained to refuse unauthorized sharing of private information and reject requests to carry out harmful actions. The company noted that the models retain the ability to assist developers and security teams with identifying software vulnerabilities and auditing system defenses.

Training and deployment followed the company's internal Superintelligence Scaling Framework guidelines. The standard Muse Wonder model is available immediately through the Meta Model API and the Muse Code coding environment. Meta plans to roll out the models to its consumer Muse interface in the coming weeks, prioritizing paying subscribers first.
