A growing group of major U.S. corporations has moved to block unaffiliated digital tokens tracking their equity on OKX ICE, a tokenized trading venue backed by crypto exchange OKX and New York Stock Exchange owner Intercontinental Exchange, according to reporting broadcast by Yahoo Finance (https://finance.yahoo.com/video/nvidia-microsoft-jpmorgan-object-okxice-203000548.html?.tsrc=rss).

The corporate pushback highlights an intensifying rift between public issuers and crypto trading platforms attempting to list synthetic or blockchain-based instruments pegged to publicly traded equities without issuer consent.

An Oct. 30 notice issued by the trading platform lists 50 corporate objections, expanding from earlier counts that grew from roughly a dozen to nearly 30 before reaching the current tally. The updated list of objectors includes chipmaker Nvidia, software developer Microsoft, financial institution JPMorgan Chase, retailer Costco, memory producer Micron Technology, community platform Reddit, sportswear brand Nike, and Bitcoin mining and compute firm Iren.

The filings specifically target third-party tokens created without company authorization to mirror share values on OKX ICE. As tokenized equity models expand, corporate issuers have relied on platform-level objection mechanisms to halt unauthorized representations of their equity.

The friction coincides with competition between established market operators over digital asset frameworks. While Intercontinental Exchange entered the tokenized market alongside OKX, rival exchange operator Nasdaq is developing its own tokenization framework with cryptocurrency platform Kraken. As noted in the Yahoo Finance report, Nasdaq has actively encouraged companies listed on its exchange to submit opt-out requests to the rival OKX ICE platform.

The wave of objections underscores legal and operational obstacles facing unauthorized single-stock tokenization, demonstrating that digital asset platforms face substantial resistance when attempting to build secondary markets without issuer involvement.
