FEVM has unveiled a compact desktop system built on AMD's AM5 desktop platform, fitting high-performance PC hardware into a 2.6-liter enclosure. According to reporting by TechRadar Pro (https://www.techradar.com/pro/could-this-be-the-most-powerful-mini-pc-ever-fevm-mini-pc-pairs-ryzen-9-9950x3d-with-24gb-rtx5090-gpu-and-should-beat-apples-m5-ultra-mac-studio-in-gaming), the FA80G chassis pairs AMD's flagship desktop processor with Nvidia mobile graphics to target resource-heavy Windows gaming and workstation workloads.

At the core of the chassis is AMD's Ryzen 9 9950X3D, a 16-core desktop processor configured to reach clock speeds up to 5.7GHz. The CPU carries 144MB of cache via AMD's 3D V-Cache technology. FEVM allocates up to 90W of power directly to the processor.

Graphics are handled by Nvidia's RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, which is allocated up to 150W of power within the system. The mobile graphics processor features 10,496 CUDA cores, 24GB of GDDR7 memory, and 896GB/s of memory bandwidth. It supports hardware ray tracing, ray reconstruction, DLSS 4, and Multi Frame Generation.

To handle thermal load within the compact volume, FEVM isolates cooling across the two primary silicon components, assigning four heat pipes to the CPU and four to the GPU. The manufacturer rates full-load operational noise at 42dB, with CPU operating temperatures remaining under 85°C and GPU temperatures below 80°C.

The FA80G supports up to 128GB of DDR5 memory across two physical slots, alongside two M.2 2280 connectors that support solid-state storage up to 4TB. Port selection includes one HDMI 2.0 port, one HDMI 2.1 port, two DisplayPort 2.0 outputs, USB-C, USB-A, an SD card reader, and dual 2.5GbE network jacks.

The machine's hardware architecture differs from compact workstations like Apple's top-tier Mac Studio powered by the M5 Ultra chip. While Apple's flagship configuration provides up to 36 CPU cores, 80 GPU cores, 512GB of unified memory, and 1.2TB/s of memory bandwidth tailored to macOS and Metal environments, FEVM's system is built around standard x86 and Nvidia graphics pipelines for native Windows computing.

FEVM lists the flagship barebones configuration of the FA80G for ¥22,299 (approximately $3,300), which requires buyers to supply their own memory modules and storage drives.
