TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 to Feature 200 Early-Stage Startups and AI Leaders in San Francisco
The three-day gathering at Moscone West will highlight OpenAI, Anthropic, and Replit alongside the annual Startup Battlefield pitch competition.

San Francisco will host TechCrunch Disrupt 2026 at the Moscone West convention center from October 13 through October 15, bringing together an estimated gathering of more than 10,000 founders, venture capitalists, and technology operators. According to an event announcement published by TechCrunch AI (https://techcrunch.com/2026/09/21/discover-whats-next-5-days-left-to-save-up-to-200-on-techcrunch-disrupt-2026/), the three-day conference will host programming across six industry stages, including sessions with artificial intelligence firms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Replit.
A central component of the event is the Startup Battlefield 200, a curated showcase of 200 early-stage companies selected by the TechCrunch team. The program provides participating founders with exhibition space to present their products and engage directly with investors, corporate partners, and attendees throughout the conference.
From the broader cohort, 20 selected companies will pitch live on the main Disrupt Stage before panels of venture capital investors and event attendees. The pitch competition will conclude with the awarding of the Disrupt Cup and $100,000 in equity-free cash funding to the winning team.
The Startup Battlefield showcase has previously featured companies that later expanded into major tech industry incumbents. Over the program's history spanning at least 15 years, participating alumni—including Dropbox, Discord, Cloudflare, Fitbit, Mint, and Trello—have collectively raised $32 billion in total funding following their appearances.
Conference organizers noted that evaluating early-stage cohorts across multiple sectors offers investors and technology leaders early visibility into emerging market categories, developer tooling adoption, and new operational models before they reach broader commercial markets.
Advance registration discounts offering up to $200 off individual tickets and 50 percent off a second pass run through September 25 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time, with group discounts of up to 30 percent available for parties of four or more. The deadline to reserve exhibition tables concluded on September 18.
