Framewerx Broadens AI-Driven Managed Services Portfolio with AD Micro Acquisition
Framewerx Inc., an Edmonton-based IT consulting firm, has acquired AD Micro Technology Inc. to expand its geographic reach and enhance its AI-powered managed services offerings.

Framewerx Inc., an information technology consulting and managed services provider based in Edmonton, Alberta, today confirmed its acquisition of AD Micro Technology Inc., a managed IT services firm. Financial terms of the transaction were not publicly disclosed.
AD Micro, established in 1992 and operating out of Richmond, British Columbia, offers a comprehensive suite of services. These include IT support, networking solutions, cybersecurity, data backup, and cloud services. The company also manages printer and copier operations for clients primarily located in the Greater Vancouver area.
This acquisition establishes a second West Coast operational base for Framewerx, which has historically focused its operations in Alberta. The company indicated that the integration of AD Micro would bring additional personnel and enable a wider range of services to be offered to both existing and new client bases.
Framewerx specializes in providing managed IT, cloud hosting, and cybersecurity solutions for small to mid-sized organizations. Additionally, it develops custom applications, including Fabwerx, a dedicated platform for the steel fabrication and construction sectors.
A key strategic component of the acquisition involves combining AD Micro's operational expertise with Framewerx's automation software, Neuralwerx. Launched in June, Neuralwerx is an AI-powered help desk and security platform designed for managed service providers and mid-market enterprises. The platform reportedly achieves a median first response time of 3.6 minutes and resolves 92% of tickets within 15 minutes. Furthermore, the vendor claims that over half of reactive end-user issues are closed without technician involvement. At its launch, Neuralwerx was supporting approximately 2,000 endpoints.
Dan Reid, Chief Executive of Framewerx, stated that the acquisition represents a significant stride in the company's long-term strategic vision, particularly following the successful launch of Neuralwerx. He emphasized that AD Micro Technology brings valuable client relationships, proven delivery capabilities, and expertise that will enhance Framewerx's overall service offerings.
Framewerx characterized the deal as part of a broader initiative to scale its operations, driven by increasing customer interest in artificial intelligence and a demand for AI governance assistance. Kimson Dy Ning, founder of AD Micro, commented that selling to a larger entity provides an opportunity to expand the foundation his company built over three decades, while maintaining consistent service quality for customers.
AD Micro will continue to operate under its existing brand throughout the transition period. Framewerx intends to integrate AD Micro’s staff into its own organization by the close of the year, a move expected to increase the company's total headcount by 30%.
