Anthropic Sets Tiered Pricing for Haiku 5.5, Lowering Token Costs Against Prior Generation
The model introduces split rates based on a 100,000-token threshold, cutting base input and output fees by up to 90 percent compared to Haiku 4.5.

Anthropic has set pricing for its Haiku 5.5 model, introducing a tiered cost structure that lowers baseline token rates relative to Haiku 4.5, according to a report aggregated by Techmeme (https://www.techmeme.com/261007/p33#a261007p33).
Under the new schedule, requests containing up to 100,000 tokens are billed at $0.10 per million input tokens and $0.50 per million output tokens. For context requests exceeding the 100,000-token threshold, pricing increases to $0.50 per million input tokens and $2.50 per million output tokens.
The structure marks a shift from Haiku 4.5, which maintained flat rates of $1.00 per million input tokens and $5.00 per million output tokens. For sub-100,000 token prompts, the new rates reflect a 90 percent reduction across both input and output fees compared to the previous model version.
For larger context workloads exceeding 100,000 tokens, Haiku 5.5 cuts input costs by 50 percent from $1.00 to $0.50 per million tokens and output costs by 50 percent from $5.00 to $2.50 per million tokens.
