Collov Labs Launches NewEyes AI to Power Visual Personal Agents on Smart Glasses

Silicon Valley startup Collov Labs has launched NewEyes AI, a visual personal agent designed to connect camera feeds with automated task execution, as reported by Tech Startups (https://techstartups.com/2026/09/23/collov-labs-launches-neweyes-ai-your-personal-agent-with-eyes/). The platform allows users to combine visual context from their physical surroundings with voice instructions to plan steps and complete multi-stage actions.

The software is currently available on smartphones and compatible Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, with the company planning to expand support across additional Meta models and other smart eyewear brands. Collov Labs designed the system to turn wearable hardware into a hands-free interface without demanding that the full artificial intelligence computing stack run onboard the glasses hardware.

To operate within mobile hardware constraints, NewEyes AI uses a hybrid architecture that distributes computational workloads. Smartphones handle edge perception, while an on-device runtime maintains agent state. Demanding spatial reasoning and multi-step logic are processed in the cloud, with task outputs delivered through a companion mobile application.

The system processes visual streams by converting selected image frames into structured event data. It then applies a technique called context compaction, which strips redundant visual information and carries forward key observations across developing tasks to prevent working memory overload.

Headquartered in Silicon Valley, Collov Labs was founded by researchers with backgrounds at Stanford University, UC Berkeley, and Yale University. The startup has spent more than two years deploying visual models in commercial environments, publishing research at academic venues including IJCAI, AAAI, ICLR, and ICML.

Across a portfolio that includes NewEyes AI and Collov AI, Collov Labs reports more than 1 million total users, over 10,000 paid subscribers, and more than 300 commercial partners across real estate, retail, and e-commerce. The company previously secured $23 million in Series A funding led by Brightway Future Capital, with participation from Taihill and MindWorks Capital.
