Salesforce and Anthropic Partner on 'Claudeforce' Integration Amid AI Market Pressure
The new plugin brings 37 pre-built sales workflows into the Claude chatbot as enterprise software providers adapt to shifting industry dynamics.

Enterprise software provider Salesforce and artificial intelligence firm Anthropic expanded their strategic alliance on Wednesday with the launch of "Claudeforce," a tool created to allow sales professionals to interact with corporate software data inside Anthropic's Claude assistant.
The new integration functions as a plugin outfitted with 37 pre-built operational skills. These functions allow users to draft emails, update account records, and manage workflow tasks without leaving the Claude interface. The two companies said they intend to launch additional joint capabilities across Claude, Salesforce, and messaging platform Slack in future updates, as first reported by CNBC Business.
The branding represents a distinct shift in strategy for the cloud provider, marking the first time Salesforce has ever granted its signature "force" suffix to an external partner's product.
"By fusing Claude's extraordinary reasoning with the trusted data, workflows, and governance every enterprise runs on, we're delivering a dynamic interface that thinks, reasons, and acts," Salesforce Chief Executive Officer Marc Benioff said in a statement. "This is how every business will run."
The joint release arrives during a period of sustained public market headwinds for legacy software-as-a-service providers. Investors have voiced concern that advanced foundation models built by companies such as Anthropic and OpenAI could bypass traditional enterprise applications. Salesforce equity has retreated about 22% in 2026 after dropping 20% in 2025, while the Nasdaq index has grown roughly 35% since the end of 2024.
Meanwhile, Anthropic has recorded rapid financial growth driven by business deployment of its Claude AI models. The startup recently informed investors that its annualized revenue run rate reached $65 billion through the end of July, representing a sevenfold rise year-over-year.
"Through this partnership, companies can point Claude at the customer information and business context that they've been building in Salesforce for decades — surfacing the insights that really matter and helping their businesses run more efficiently and grow more quickly," Anthropic Chief Executive Officer Dario Amodei said in a statement.
According to the companies, Claudeforce is currently deployed with a select group of pilot clients ahead of an expanded preview release scheduled for next month. Additional pre-built capabilities are slated to roll out later in the year.
