Swedish Legal AI Startup Legora Expands Following $550M Round Led by Accel and Five Acquisitions
The Stockholm-based legal tech firm has accelerated its growth strategy this year with major funding and aggressive dealmaking.

Swedish legal artificial intelligence startup Legora has recorded a highly active year characterized by substantial capital deployment, strategic dealmaking, and rapid corporate expansion across the enterprise technology landscape.
In March, the legal software firm secured $550 million in a major financing round. Global venture capital firm Accel led the transaction, providing significant capital to fuel Legora’s expansion in the legal technology market.
Alongside its fundraising milestones, Legora has aggressively pursued inorganic growth through strategic mergers and acquisitions. Since January, the company has completed five separate acquisitions to expand its technology portfolio and market presence.
The combination of a half-billion-dollar capital injection and multiple corporate takeovers highlights Legora's momentum in the legal AI sector, where enterprise software providers are competing to deliver domain-specific automation tools.
Legora's recent operational progress, funding history, and corporate strategy were first reported by European technology news outlet Sifted.
With $550 million in fresh equity capital and five newly acquired properties integrated since the start of the year, Legora remains one of the most heavily capitalized legal AI startups in the European market.
