Lucid Q3 Deliveries Drop 6.7% as Automaker Scales Back Factory Output
The EV maker delivered 3,806 vehicles from July through September following shift reductions at its Arizona manufacturing facility.

Lucid Group delivered 3,806 electric vehicles and produced 2,954 units during the third quarter, marking a 6.7% decrease in deliveries compared to the same period last year, according to reporting by CNBC Business (https://www.cnbc.com/2026/10/05/lucid-group-lcid-q3-2026-deliveries-production.html). A year earlier, the automaker reported delivering 4,078 units on production of 3,891 vehicles.
Despite the quarterly decline, Lucid's deliveries are up 3.4% through the third quarter compared to the previous year. Cumulative production is up 33% year-to-date, reflecting manufacturing acceleration during the early months of the year. Lucid's quarterly production reached a high of nearly 7,900 vehicles in the fourth quarter of last year before dropping to 5,500 units in the first quarter of this year.
The third quarter was the company's first operating under a reduced schedule at its Arizona manufacturing plant, where production was cut from two shifts to one. The reduction is part of an operational reset under Chief Executive Officer Silvio Napoli, who took leadership of the company in June.
Lucid, which is heavily backed by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, previously outlined a turnaround plan aimed at identifying $1.4 billion in cash flow improvements this year. Disclosed during its second-quarter earnings report in August, that target includes roughly $600 million to $800 million from vehicle inventory reductions, $500 million in capital expenditure cuts, and $200 million in operating expense savings.
Lucid announced it will report full financial results for the third quarter on Nov. 9 after financial markets close.
