Astraeus announced on August 6, 2026, the release of its AI-native infrastructure platform, developed to furnish artificial intelligence with the specific organizational context essential for functioning within a regulated advisory environment. The platform aims to assist investment advisory firms, wealth technology providers, private equity firms, and strategic consulting groups in modernizing their infrastructure and establishing AI-native operational systems.

To date, Astraeus has secured more than $10 million in funding. This investment includes support from notable entities such as Fintech Collective, F-Prime, Walkabout Ventures, and Plug and Play Ventures. Co-founders Phill Rosen and Jon Stevenson share a belief that AI's transformative potential in wealth management can only be realized through a comprehensive understanding of the entire enterprise.

Rosen and Stevenson’s collaboration began at MoneyLion, where Stevenson led Corporate Development and Wealth Management, and Rosen served as Global CTO. Both co-founders bring extensive experience in building and managing the infrastructure essential for financial firms. Rosen is a serial fintech entrepreneur, with his most recent company having been acquired by MoneyLion. Stevenson’s background includes senior leadership roles in wealth management at institutions such as Stifel Financial, Barclays Wealth, and Merrill Lynch.

The launch arrives as the wealth management sector faces increased pressure to leverage artificial intelligence while navigating increasingly complex operational, regulatory, and data landscapes. Historically, the industry has relied on a fragmented assortment of systems, each holding only a portion of crucial business data. This fragmentation presents a structural risk as firms endeavor to adopt AI solutions.

Rosen, Astraeus’s Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, noted that wealth management firms have accumulated numerous systems, workflows, and data sources over time to address specific requirements. He explained that this has resulted in an industry operating on a disjointed architecture, which limits visibility, creates operational inefficiencies, and hinders expansion. Astraeus was developed to offer a unified infrastructure that comprehends a firm’s operational dynamics, enabling every decision, workflow, and process to benefit from this integrated context.

Central to the Astraeus platform are its semantic layer and ontology. These components are designed to encode relationships among clients, advisors, accounts, products, fees, policies, and regulatory obligations, maintaining a record of changes and their rationale. By modeling the firm's context prior to AI data processing, the platform ensures outputs are consistent, explainable, and traceable to their origin, thereby mitigating the 'black-box' risks unacceptable in regulated advisory services.

Stevenson, Astraeus’s Co-Founder and President, commented that while considerable attention has been directed toward the latest AI models and partnerships, the more critical factor is whether a firm possesses the architectural foundation for AI to grasp its business operations and unlock value across the entire organization. He emphasized that models will evolve and new capabilities will emerge, but the true competitive advantage will stem from codifying the firm’s intelligence, including business rules, governance frameworks, and accumulated operational context.

The platform is engineered to support a model-agnostic future, allowing organizations to utilize models best suited for specific business functions without being tied to a single provider. This approach also preserves the firm’s ownership of its data, context, governance, and decision-making logic. This flexibility is crucial as the AI landscape continues to evolve, enabling firms to benefit from innovation without necessitating a complete overhaul of their core architecture.

Astraeus’s introduction offers wealth management firms a pathway to move beyond isolated AI tools and establish an operating environment where intelligence can be applied consistently across the enterprise. The New York City-based company provides an AI-native infrastructure that unifies a firm’s data, rules, relationships, permissions, and workflows into a governed semantic model compatible with existing technology. This provides RIAs, broker-dealers, private banks, multi-family offices, and other financial institutions with a consistent foundation for client intelligence, advisor workflows, compliance, investment research, portfolio operations, and AI-agent orchestration. Unlike fragmented solutions or traditional data aggregation platforms, Astraeus models each firm’s actual operations, making information usable, auditable, and actionable without requiring system replacements.
