Beyerdynamic Launches $150 Aventho Y Headphones Featuring 90-Hour Battery and User-Replaceable Parts
The wireless headset includes Bluetooth 6.0 multipoint support, rapid charging, and modular components designed for simplified repair.

Audio equipment maker Beyerdynamic has unveiled the Aventho Y, a new pair of wireless headphones joining the company's established Aventho product family. The model enters the market with a retail price of $150 and features an overall battery life rating of up to 90 hours per charge when active noise cancellation (ANC) is disengaged.
When active noise cancellation is enabled, the expected playback duration drops to 60 hours on a full charge. The hardware also supports a rapid-charging mechanism capable of delivering six hours of operational time following a five-minute connection to a power outlet.
Beyerdynamic designed the Aventho Y with a focus on product longevity and modular maintenance. Both the internal battery and the ear cushions are built to be replaced directly by the owner. Additionally, the headband's sliders and hinges have been engineered to allow individual replacement of high-wear structural parts, avoiding the need to dispose of the entire headset when components show wear.
For wireless audio transmission, the Aventho Y incorporates Bluetooth 6.0 multipoint connectivity, enabling users to maintain concurrent links and switch between multiple playback devices. The headphones ship with an extended USB-C cable that facilitates both battery recharging and direct wired listening modes. The product is being offered in four distinct color options.
Beyerdynamic is also introducing several optional accessories designed to expand the functionality of the Aventho Y. Available add-ons include a detachable boom microphone alongside a dedicated USB-C dongle designed for Wi-Fi connectivity. The company integrated an internal storage slot situated beneath one of the ear cups specifically to hold the USB-C dongle when it is not in active use.
Digital controls and sound customization for the headset are managed through Beyerdynamic's proprietary companion mobile application. Within the app, users can adjust equalizer parameters using genre-specific audio presets, as well as download and install system firmware updates for the device.
The inclusion of a consumer-serviceable power cell in the Aventho Y reflects a design philosophy previously implemented in Beyerdynamic's flagship MMX 230 headphones, which similarly feature a user-replaceable battery system, as first reported by Engadget.
