Google's Unannounced 'Fitbit Edge' Smartwatch Appears in Leaked Images
Photographs published online detail an upcoming mid-tier wearable with an oval screen, seven-day battery life, and a sub-$200 price target.
Images and preliminary specifications of an unannounced Google fitness wearable have surfaced online, detailing a device positioned between entry-level fitness trackers and flagship smartwatches.
As reported by Mashable Tech (https://mashable.com/tech/google-fitbit-edge-leaked-photos), publication Android Headlines published exclusive photographs of a device purportedly named the Fitbit Edge. The leak shows a design that resembles the Fitbit Air, updated with an oval smartwatch display, a long side button, and rear-mounted health-tracking sensors.
According to the leaked details, the device will support both Android and iOS smartphones, provide notifications, include built-in GPS, and offer limited app support. The wearable is reported to achieve up to seven days of battery life on a single charge.
Android Headlines reported that Google plans to launch the Fitbit Edge in October with a retail price between $149 and $199. The device is expected to come in four colors matching the Pixel 11 Pro phone: Canyon, Olive, Fog, and Obsidian.
The watch previously appeared without identification in official Made by Google lineup images released in August, where Reddit users noticed the hardware. Google has not officially announced the device or confirmed the leaked pricing and specifications.
