Lamborghini Unveils Revuelto SV Hybrid Supercar With Enhanced Battery and Aerodynamics
The upgraded flagship pairs a 1,050-horsepower hybrid V12 powertrain with racing-derived dynamics software and lightweight carbon construction.

Lamborghini has introduced the Superveloce (SV) performance variant of its flagship Revuelto hybrid supercar, upgrading power output and dynamic controls through expanded battery technology and refined aerodynamics, as first reported by The Verge.
The Revuelto SV retains the baseline vehicle's 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine alongside three electric motors, yielding a combined output of 1,065 cv (approximately 1,050 horsepower). That figure represents a 50-horsepower increase over the standard trim. To support the enhanced performance, the automaker updated the battery architecture—maintaining its existing dimensions while expanding capacity by 7.3 kWh to ensure more consistent power output during sustained high-speed driving.
Engineering teams reduced transmission shift times by 30 percent and incorporated extensive carbon-fiber components, including a redesigned front bumper, rear wing, door panels, and racing seats. The weight-saving measures lower the supercar's power-to-weight ratio to 1.66 kg per cv, compared to 1.75 kg per cv on the standard Revuelto. Total downforce rose by 80 percent, supported by a 100 percent gain in front-end downforce from the revised bodywork.
These performance adjustments enable the Revuelto SV to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 2.4 seconds, matching the acceleration figure of Lamborghini's limited-production Fenomeno model. Stopping capability was similarly upgraded through a new CCM-R Plus braking system, which utilizes thicker and larger-diameter discs featuring radial cooling passages designed to withstand severe thermal load.
On the software side, the vehicle debuts a GT-racing-derived driving mode called "Pilota," activated via a helmet icon on the steering wheel. Drivers can toggle through five distinct assistance levels using rotary dials to alter stability control threshold responses. The software integrates data from a six-dimensional sensor positioned in the center tunnel that continuously tracks vertical, lateral, and longitudinal acceleration alongside roll and pitch.
The launch aligns with Lamborghini's strategy to focus on high-performance hybrid powertrains after shelving plans to build a purely electric sports car. Alessandro Farmeschi, product line director for the Revuelto, noted that the electric motors facilitate improved torque vectoring and vehicle dynamics to balance the weight of the onboard battery. The hybrid setup also provides a pure-electric driving range of roughly 15 kilometers (10 miles).
The SV designation—short for Superveloce, or "superfast"—refers to a performance naming convention that dates back to the 1971 Miura SV and has been applied to higher-tier versions of the Diablo, Murciélago, and Aventador. Official pricing for the Revuelto SV has not been released, though industry estimates position the vehicle above $750,000, up from the base model's starting price of $612,000.
