Motorola Unveils Signature 27 Flagship with Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6

Motorola announced the Signature 27 flagship smartphone at the Snapdragon Summit, refreshing its Signature product line with Qualcomm's newly introduced Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 mobile processor. As reported by Engadget , the device ranks among the first handsets slated to use the new system-on-chip.

Motorola is positioning the handset as its most advanced smartphone to date. To handle the increased processing demands, the company equipped the chassis with an upgraded cooling system to mitigate thermal buildup during operation.

On the audio side, the Signature 27 incorporates Bang & Olufsen speakers. Motorola confirmed that the integration marks the beginning of a multi-year partnership with the Danish audio company, indicating that future Motorola products will also feature Bang & Olufsen tuning and technology.

The camera configuration retains a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia 910 sensor for primary imaging, leaving the main sensor baseline unchanged from the previous generation. However, the telephoto hardware receives a substantial resolution upgrade, jumping from a 50-megapixel sensor on the prior model to a 200-megapixel module.

On the software layer, the Signature 27 will ship with Android 17 alongside a vendor commitment to provide seven years of operating system upgrades. The software build also includes access to generative artificial intelligence tools, including the Omni video generator and the Lyria music generator.

Motorola has not yet published full hardware specifications, withholding display metrics and exact dimensions. Official pricing remains unannounced; the previous-generation Signature model retailed between approximately $800 and $1,200 depending on configuration. Motorola stated that the Signature 27 is expected to launch in global markets in 2026.
