Navan Partners With Engine to Expand Corporate Travel Booking Infrastructure
The enterprise travel platform will integrate Engine's payment and inventory stack to accelerate feature rollouts following strong second-quarter financial growth.

Corporate travel and expense management provider Navan Inc. (NASDAQ: NAVN) has formed a strategic alliance with travel and spend technology vendor Engine to expand the travel booking options and payment capabilities available to its enterprise clients. The integration is designed to bolster platform stickiness by widening inventory access across hotels, commercial properties, and specialized travel markets without requiring Navan to build equivalent infrastructure internally.
According to reporting from Yahoo Finance (https://finance.yahoo.com/markets/stocks/articles/navan-navn-collaboration-engine-offers-203232047.html), Engine's payment and financial technology stack will support Navan's workflows for bookings, itinerary adjustments, and cancellations. Navan plans to roll out preliminary offerings to customers this month, followed by additional feature deployments in subsequent months.
The alliance follows Navan's recent acquisition of BoomPop, an artificial intelligence-driven platform for corporate meetings and events, as part of an effort to capture business spending that typically occurs outside managed corporate platforms.
The product expansion follows second-quarter financial gains for Navan. The company reported more than $3 billion in gross bookings, representing 45% volumetric growth, alongside $233 million in revenue, an increase of 35% year-over-year. Navan also posted positive cash flow generation and more than doubled its adjusted operating income year-over-year, supported by new customer acquisition and expansion within its existing client base.
The rollout presents operational trade-offs for Navan. Merging separate booking, inventory, and payment platforms creates technical integration risks, including the potential for data synchronization errors or platform downtime during initial deployment. Navan also faces vendor dependency risks by relying on Engine for critical travel inventory and payment infrastructure.
Institutional ownership data compiled by Insider Monkey from second-quarter 2026 regulatory 13F filings indicates that 38 hedge funds held positions in Navan, up from 30 in the prior quarter. Short interest stood at 3.96%. Venture capital firm Lightspeed Management Company remained Navan's largest institutional shareholder with a 17% stake of 41.7 million shares, while a16z Capital Management and Cosmic Management held 11.50% and 2.91% of outstanding shares, respectively.
