NVIDIA Adds Firefox Browser Support to GeForce Now Cloud Gaming Service
The integration allows Windows users to stream titles in Mozilla's browser at up to 1440p and 120fps.
NVIDIA has expanded its cloud streaming service GeForce Now to officially support Mozilla Firefox on Windows systems.
The update, first reported by Engadget, provides Firefox users on Windows with another web-based entry point to access the cloud gaming platform.
Users with a GeForce Now Ultimate subscription can stream titles in Firefox at up to 1440p resolution and frame rates reaching 120 frames per second.
Firefox now joins Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Apple Safari, and Opera on the list of web browsers officially compatible with NVIDIA's service.
GeForce Now is currently accessible across a wide range of devices, including PCs, tablets, smartphones, smart televisions, and dedicated handhelds. The platform hosts a catalog of more than 2,000 games through integrations with storefronts and services such as Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, Xbox PC Game Pass, and Ubisoft Connect.
Mozilla stated that integration with GeForce Now had been a frequent request from its community. The web browser developer noted that it spent several months working alongside NVIDIA to enable the streaming capability, offering an additional option for Firefox users who do not have local hardware equipped to run demanding PC titles.
