Trump Media Interim CEO Defends Real-Time Data API as Paid Subscriptions Expand
Kevin McGurn says adoption of Truth Social's $100,000-per-month fast-access feed has reached the mid-teens despite ethical scrutiny over market-moving posts.

The interim chief executive of Trump Media & Technology Group defended his company's premium high-speed data feed on Monday, revealing that customer adoption for the product continues to expand despite mounting public criticism.
Speaking in an interview first reported by CNBC Business on its "Squawk Box" program, TMTG Interim CEO Kevin McGurn stated that subscriber numbers for the company's specialized enterprise tool, dubbed Truth API, have climbed into the mid-teens.
The updated customer tally represents steady growth over the past fortnight. Two weeks prior, during Trump Media's inaugural quarterly earnings conference call, McGurn had informed investors that the business had secured more than 10 client agreements.
The enterprise data service officially debuted on Aug. 1. Designed to deliver low-latency feeds of posts from the Truth Social platform, the service carries price tags reaching as high as $100,000 per month.
Truth API has faced intense scrutiny from ethics advocates and financial analysts since its announcement. Because President Donald Trump routinely utilizes his Truth Social account to publish announcements capable of shifting financial markets, critics argue that offering accelerated access enables high-frequency and institutional trading firms to act on critical information ahead of retail investors and the general public.
President Trump maintains his position as the dominant shareholder in Trump Media & Technology Group, with his equity holdings managed through a revocable trust.
Despite the ongoing public debate regarding systemic fairness and early information access, McGurn indicated that demand for the high-priced data product remains on an upward trajectory as the firm continues commercializing its technology infrastructure.
