X Expands 'Under the Hood' Tool to Show Content Visibility Limits Driven by Local Laws

Social media network X has expanded its transparency features to disclose when an account's posts have had their visibility restricted in compliance with local laws, as reported by Engadget (https://www.engadget.com/2264585/x-now-tells-users-when-local-laws-have-reduced-their-posts-visibility/).
The update to the platform's "Under the Hood" menu identifies the specific country that requested the content restriction and lists the individual posts affected by the legal demand. The feature builds on existing account data that displays moderation labels applied to profiles and posts during the preceding month.
Access to the Under the Hood menu requires an account to have been active for more than one year and to have published at least 10 posts in the previous month.
X initially rolled out Under the Hood in August as a limited test to provide insight into post labels and the algorithms powering its For You feed. The platform delivers this data dump as a dense JSON file.
