Cyera Adds $400M Goldman Sachs Extension at Flat $12B Valuation
The cloud data security provider has pulled in $1.4 billion this year as enterprise demand pivots to policing autonomous software agents.

Cyera has raised $400 million from Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives in a flat extension of its Series G round, as reported by The Next Web (https://thenextweb.com/news/cyera-400m-goldman-sachs-series-g-extension). The fresh capital preserves the $12 billion valuation established in June, when Evolution Equity Partners led a $600 million tranche at the same share price.
The transaction marks Cyera's third major funding event of 2026, following a $400 million raise in January and the June Series G close. Across the three rounds, the company has accumulated $1.4 billion this year, pushing cumulative funding beyond $2 billion since its 2021 founding by chief executive Yotam Segev and chief technology officer Tamar Bar-Ilan.
The company plans to deploy the capital across three primary initiatives: advancing its artificial intelligence security engineering, funding an expansion into the U.S. federal sector, and scaling operations across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. Breaking into government procurement requires specialized accreditations and security-cleared personnel, demands that require substantial upfront capital before generating revenue.
Cyera built its initial business around cloud data security posture management, cataloging sensitive enterprise assets and mapping access permissions. Over the past year, the vendor has shifted resources toward governing the autonomous software interacting with that data. Its Agent Guardian and Cyera Endpoint systems record prompt inputs, system responses, database queries, and intermediate tool calls across cloud environments and endpoint developer tools, including Cursor and Claude Code.
The platform expansion follows Cyera's approximately $1 billion acquisition of non-human identity security startup Oasis Security in July. At the time of the transaction, Segev stated that non-human identities across Fortune 500 environments had surged nearly 500% in six months. The core security thesis holds that autonomous agents equipped with valid credentials can inadvertently expose proprietary databases or alter production workflows without external compromise.
Competition across the agent security and machine identity sectors has accelerated throughout 2026. Early-stage startups including Neo, NewCore, and Comp AI have closed venture rounds to develop agent governance layers, while established identity provider SailPoint acquired Entro to address machine credentials.
Cyera currently employs more than 1,500 people across 18 countries and counts Paramount, Chipotle, and Valvoline among its enterprise clients. While the company stated in June that annual recurring revenue had tripled year-over-year for three consecutive years, it has not publicly disclosed specific revenue figures.
