Meta has introduced new application integration capabilities for its Muse artificial intelligence assistant, enabling users to connect external software directly to the platform to execute automated workflows and digital transactions.

Under the update, users can link their third-party software applications to Muse to perform routine administrative tasks directly within the assistant interface, including drafting and sending emails.

The rollout also connects Meta's short-form video content with practical commerce tools. Muse can now analyze recipe content from Reels on Meta's social media platforms and automatically convert the ingredient details into structured grocery lists.

To enable direct commercial transactions within the platform, Meta incorporated support for Link by Stripe. The payment integration allows users to complete purchases seamlessly inside the Muse ecosystem using stored payment credentials.

The addition of third-party software connections and integrated payment processing reflects a broader strategic push by Meta to expand Muse into an actionable utility capable of executing multi-platform tasks beyond standard conversational queries.

The new features and platform integrations for Meta's Muse assistant were first reported by Sarah Perez at TechCrunch and published on September 8, 2026.
