Following Apple Inc.'s recent "Surprise and Shine" media event at Apple Park—where the technology company introduced the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone Duo, AirPods 5, Apple Watch Series 12, and Apple Watch Ultra 4—industry expectations are turning toward additional hardware releases planned before the end of 2026. According to a reporting roundup by Mashable Tech, supply chain tracking and industry reports point to imminent updates across Apple's Mac, home entertainment, and smart home product lines before the close of the calendar year.

In the personal computing lineup, Apple is expected to maintain its late-year release window with refreshed laptops. Primary among these is an updated MacBook Pro driven by Apple’s next-generation M6 processor, a development previously reported by Bloomberg. While detailed specifications for the M6 system-on-chip remain undisclosed, the silicon is expected to deliver improvements in processing performance and power efficiency.

Alongside the standard professional laptop refresh, Apple is reportedly developing a new flagship tier tentatively titled the "MacBook Ultra." Technical reports and references uncovered within Apple's pre-release software indicate the laptop will introduce touchscreen functionality to the MacBook portfolio.
